At Fielding Law, we are proud to support events that foster creativity, community, and connection. The recent Afrofuturism art event at Arizona State University, led by Isis Seneris, a Client Success team member at Fielding Law, brought students together in a celebration of storytelling through art. Held at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, this event, organized by the John P. Morris Black Law Students Association (BLSA), encouraged students to express their identities and explore new artistic horizons.
Afrofuturism Art Event at ASU: Creativity, Art, and Law
The Afrofuturism art event at ASU allowed students to dive deep into the blend of sci-fi symbolism and personal narrative. Isis, an advocate for both creativity and law, guided students in creating meaningful artwork that reflected their personal journeys and cultural identities. The event included students at all stages of law school—from 1Ls to 3Ls—giving them an opportunity to share experiences and insights.
What is Afrofuturism?
Afrofuturism blends science fiction, history, and African heritage to reimagine the future. This art form encourages exploring alternate futures that reflect resilience and progress. During the event, students used futuristic imagery and bold colors to tell their stories of vision and resilience.
