Sonja is a first-generation American who was born and raised in the Chicagoland area. During a 7-year career as an active-duty Marine, she lived in 5 countries and traveled to another 6. In her spare time, Sonja loves hiking. Her latest hike was Mount Kilimanjaro, the tallest mountain in Africa. Sonja also loves reading and spends every free moment with her nose in a book.
